Get paid before youstart the order.
PAY-E helps Australian businesses take orders by phone, email or message, send a payment link, and confirm payment before preparing the order — no app, no surcharge, no PAY-E commission on your orders. Standard Stripe processing fees apply.
The problem
The no-show is the villain.
Every unpaid order is food cooked for no one and a slot your team can’t get back. The work is done before you know if you’ll be paid.
Unpaid phone orders
Cooked, bagged, never collected.
No-shows
A booking that never walks in.
Chasing payment
Texts, calls, awkward follow-ups.
Staff guesswork
“Wait — did this one actually pay?”
PAY-E flips the order: payment first, prep second.
When you can’t surcharge,
stop paying for sales.
Separate card surcharges on eftpos, Visa and Mastercard payments are expected to disappear from 1 October 2026. When card costs move back into your pricing, a percentage-of-sales tool quietly eats your margin. PAY-E is a flat model that takes nothing off the top — it doesn’t surcharge, doesn’t lock you in, and doesn’t take a slice of your takings.
Stripe processing fees still apply and are passed through at cost. PAY-E’s own fee is a flat monthly subscription.
How it works
Take the order. Send the pay link. Get paid.
The customer contacts the business, staff take the order or booking, a secure SMS pay link goes out, the customer pays, and confirmation lands back — so the kitchen, counter, or service team can start with confidence.
The pay link is only the payment step. PAY-E is built to run the whole prepaid order — before, during and after that link is paid — not a generic payment-link tool.
Built for food businesses
From the counter to the kitchen.
The pay link is just one step. PAY-E runs the whole order — hosted menu, payment, kitchen status, and customer record — before, during and after the sale.
- Hosted menu / storefront with QR ordering
- Phone and message orders, paid before prep
- Kitchen ticket prints on confirmed payment
- “Ready for pickup” updates to the customer
- Customer records flag repeat no-shows
- Branded receipt, order confirmation and refunds
Built for service businesses
Quote, confirm, and take the deposit.
Send quotes and invoices, confirm bookings, and collect a deposit or balance before the job or appointment starts — with the accent shifted to your service vertical.
- Quotes and invoices by SMS link
- Bookings with deposits and balance
- Job and appointment confirmation
- Request-a-quote storefront
- Fewer no-shows, more certainty
Customer checkout
A checkout your customers just… finish.
The pay link opens a clean, secure mobile checkout — no app download, no account. A QR or short-link fallback covers landline and non-SMS customers.
- No app download, no account needed
- Fast SMS pay link in seconds
- QR / short-link fallback for any customer
- Apple Pay, Google Pay and card
- A simple, single-screen payment journey

- Meal deals, daypart menus and optional tipping
- Halal, vegan and gluten-free filters customers tap themselves

Trust & security
Payments handled the proper way.
PAY-E sits on top of Stripe rather than touching money itself. The claims below are exactly what the product does — nothing more.
Stripe Checkout pay links
Payments run through Stripe Checkout on the merchant’s own connected Stripe account.
Confirmed by webhooks
Paid status is set by Stripe webhooks — not a staff member ticking a box.
No card details read aloud
Customers pay on their own phone. Staff never type or hear a card number.
A clear confirmation trail
Every order carries a sent → opened → paid timeline you can point to.
Verified before payout
Merchants complete Stripe Connect verification (KYC) before their first payout.
Less manual handling
Fewer call-backs and reconciliations; the payment state is unambiguous.
Pricing
A flat subscription. No cut of your sales.
The whole Pay-E system from A$49 a month — phone orders, online menu, counter iPad and printing, with every SMS included and no percentage cut. Add self-order kiosks for A$49/month per kiosk. Stripe processing is separate and passed through at cost.

Explore kiosksWhat “at cost” means: Stripe charges its standard processing fee — typically around 1.7% + 30¢ per domestic Australian card transaction online, and 1.7% + 10¢ in person on a terminal — and PAY-E passes it straight through with no markup. PAY-E never takes a percentage of your sales; your only PAY-E cost is the flat subscription above.
